Student Council

Coláiste Mhuire actively encourages its students to participate fully in the life of the school. In co-operation with the Board of Management, parents and teachers, the Students’ Council promotes the interest of the school and involves students in the affairs of the school.

Our Student Council is a representative structure for students, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents to benefit the entire school community.

The aims of the student council are as follows:

  • To actively involve students in the life of the school
  • To support the school ethos
  • To promote good relationships between students and staff, Board of Management and Parents Association
  • To represent the views of students
  • To foster social awareness and learning activities
  • To be of assistance to subject teachers, class tutors, Year Heads and school management

What a great day of football we had on Thrusday last.  We were visited by the primary schools in our area, who took part in our 7-a-side blitz organised and run by the PE department in the school.
